Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan brings together academicians, scientists, innovators, industry leaders, policymakers, teachers, students, researchers, social organisations, and community institutions.
Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan is a visionary, multi-edition, multinational, and multidimensional movement conceptualized by a distinguished ISRO scientist and eminent author, and shaped under the guidance of visionary educationists and social reformers. The initiative brings together education, policy, industry, civil society, and youth on a shared platform to reimagine and strengthen the Bhartiya education system while positioning Bharat as a meaningful contributor to the global education discourse.
Rooted in Bharatiya knowledge traditions and aligned with global educational contexts, the Abhiyan serves as a powerful platform for collaboration, innovation, and implementation. Its aspiration goes beyond national boundaries—envisioning education on a global stage, much like the Olympic spirit—where local experiences and global perspectives converge to shape the future of learning.
At its core lies a pragmatic yet forward-looking vision: to build a global education ecosystem that is inclusive, interdisciplinary, ethical, and transformation-driven—deeply connected with the real needs of society.
Each edition of the Mahakumbh extends beyond dialogue and deliberation. It generates concrete action plans, fosters institutional partnerships, and encourages community participation, ensuring sustainable and measurable impact.
A distinctive strength of the Shiksha Mahakumbh Abhiyan is its Whole-of-Society approach, transcending academic boundaries to engage teachers, students, institutional leaders, policymakers, industry representatives, social organizations, and media in a unified mission.

Event venue
National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur), An Institute of National Importance, is one of Bharat’s leading institutions of higher technical education, located in the serene and picturesque landscape of Himachal Pradesh. Established in 1986 as a Regional Engineering College (REC), it was elevated to the status of a National Institute of Technology in 2002 and recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of Bharat.

The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is one among the eight new second generation of IITs. IIT Mandi is a research university now located in Kamand Valley, Mandi city in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. IIT Mandi’s campus (about 14 km from Mandi) is on the left bank of the Uhl River at Kamand and Salgi villages. There is great variation in the climatic conditions of Himachal due to extreme variation in elevation.

The Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala is (CUHP, Dharamshala) established under the Central Universities Act 2009 (No. 25 of 2009) enacted by the Parliament. The University is funded and regulated by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The University became functional with the assumption of charge by the first Vice Chancellor on 20th January 2010.
